Guatamala to Mexico City: Book of Mormon Tour

At the airport and waiting to take off.
The narrow strip of wilderness between the City of Nephi and Zarahemla.
Look what you can do with an old school bus!!!

The native people wear the most beautiful, colorful clothes. It's about all they have.

At the Guatamalan market the veggies where huge and beautiful, and every women wore one of these aprons.

This is at the waters of Mormon, and there are five valcanoes around this lake and a city at the bottom. Lots of the beautiful handicrafts are made here by the indians.

In the city of Antigua, we stayed in one of the neatests places ever. It is a restored monastary that was built in 1527. It's been excavated and restored and beautifully kept. They used lots of candles and it was just a great place.

Tikal was really a cool place. There is a Nephite city built under it, but the Gov. there is much more interested in the great temples of the classic generation. It's out in the paten jungle, and one of the starwars movies had shots from here. It was really cool here.

This is on top of the highest pyramid.
We went to church on both Sundays out. We visited three temples. Two of them were built on the site of a church chapel. It was fun to meet with the people.

We are very brave!!!! We had a great time and we were glad to get home. The people were really nice on the tour and we really liked our guide. Hope you are all well too!!!! Love A&S
