Now We're Talking
Finally ready for the River! Ruben has been slaving away on the "Mighty Mouse". New upholstery, new carpet, new fiberglass, new paint, and a good as new engine! Can you believe this man does all that himself?! We are so excited for our first trip of the year - heading out tomorrow. See you there! BTW, can't wait to check out the new concrete and dock at Grandpa's.
Allie Graduated from High School last Friday and some of us made it up for the ceremony. We ate at Jen and Mike's after and Allie went to grad night after that. I heard she had a good time. I didn't take enough pictures of the day. Hopefully Jen has some more.
We stayed in St. George (where Maggie and Paige competed for Papa's attention) until Sunday morning. Bridget, Jen and I even got to go out to the movie one night.
Thanks to everyone for the hospitality and congratulations Allie. Thanks for making all of us feel so old!

Hospital Pictures...
Little Lily Ann Emmett
Here she is! A day late but we'll keep her! We got to the hospital about 4:30 Monday evening with regular contractions and Beth was dilated to a 7.5. She got the epidural about 5:30, the Dr. broke her water a few minutes later and a few minutes after that it was time to start pushing. At 6:05 Lily popped out, looking dazed and confused but plump and healthy.
She was 8 lbs. 3 oz. and 19.5 inches long. After a couple hours we took her to the nursery where she started having respiratory problems. First she had the space helmet pumping oxygen and later an Orthodontist type head gear with tubes in her nose. Unfortunately we haven't gotten to hold her since then but the Dr. took her off the contraptions this morning and she is doing excellent without them. Beth should get to feed her soon and it chances are good she can come home with us.
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! As always you can check out Emmettdoggies a little later for too many pictures and too many words.

HERE SHE ISn't!!!
Still no little sister much to Beth's dismay. The doctor scheduled her to be induced next Tuesday if it doesn't happen before then. Jack continues to patiently wait and perfect his big brother skills. While Beth has been "ready" for a some time I'm finally starting to feel prepared. The house has been cleaned and organized, bags are packed, car seats and diapers are out of storage, and of course pink has made it's presence felt.

State Cup Soccer
Tori's team, the Bombers, will be competing for the State Cup this weekend in Orem. Her game is at 12:30 on Saturday - it interfers with the baby shower, but maybe the guys will want to go? She's playing at the Lakeside Sports Park - 400 South 1850 West. If her team wins (which is likely) they'll be playing again on Monday. See you this weekend!
River Improvements
The improvements continue at the river house. Matt, Eddie and Matt's friend, Bryan went to the river this last weekend and poured new concrete. Our feet will thank them this summer. Won't it be nice to not have to wear shoes on the patio? You can also see the ladder that they added to the dock.
Other than pouring concrete they had some other excitement. Eddie skied in the "ocean" on Saturday and has been paying for it ever since. The guys saw the hull of a forked racing boat get cracked when it hit the dock at Badenoch's (sp?). It didn't crash, that is how bad the water was. (The water Eddie skied in). It started to let on water, so the people who owned it hurried to get it back to their house and on to the trailer. Eddie the Englishman got a great base sunburn. Apparently if you are from England and olive skinned you don't need sunscreen. And Matt drilled a hole in his finger, which then got concrete in it. It seems to be okay now, I mean there is still a hole but he dug the concrete out.
All in all it was a successful trip. Doesn't it look great? I can't wait to see it.

Molest-a-Bear and Other California Adventures
In case you didn't see it on my blog, Anna fell in love on Thursday at South Coast Plaza and proceeded with about 5 minutes of PDA that brought both a number of Nordstrom shoppers and employees great enjoyment. When we left, Steve told the girl behind the counter, "You still have one slightly violated bear to sell."
Also, we had a great time in California this week. Even though the weather was FREEZING, staying at Grandma's when it's cold is still better than staying at home when it's warm. Anna loved the jacuzzi and the birds and the flowers only slightly less than that bear. Tiffany's wedding was beautiful, but somehow I completely missed taking any pictures in Anna's new dress so I had to pull it down from an online boutique (and you can't really tell, but it is so heirloomingly beatiful I almost cried when I first saw it).
We also got to spend time with Jenny Sidebotham and her adorable kids, Jayden and Hope. Anna had so much fun playing with them, as well as having her own bag of pretzels all to herself.
We also had lunch yesterday with my brother Nick and my dad and his wife, Vicki. Nick is so great with babies and Anna loved him because he'd happily go wherever she pointed.

hey hey hey
Sitting up so good these days!
Perfect fit:)
Just updated my blog and thought I would post some pictures on here. We have been doing pretty darn good lately. No one is (really) sick and we've been out and about the last week (sorry no pictures, taking my camera is like a fourth kid:). I have been getting all ambitious lately with projects that I have been putting off for a year or two. Hurray for me!
Greg is at sea and tomorrow is his birthday so think of him! We are going to be in Vegas as of May 25th, then the river, then Utah until June 19th. We are excited to come! Less than three weeks, better start packing!
If anyone was wondering about the Tornado that touched down in the area, no we were just fine but it's crazy how only 15 miles away things were really thrashed. It wasn't even all that windy at my house. I better go, or Elena won't make it to preschool. Love you
