Update From The Bergen's - Yes, We are Still Alive!

We have been very busy around here as you will see from the pictures. On Thanksgiving weekend I sat through 11 soccer games in two days! It was worth it though because Cami and Tori's teams took first in the tourney. Tori's team had been playing 2 games in Vegas on Saturdays up until that tournament and it definitely showed us how much they had improved. They didn't allow any goals in 4 games and the closest margin of victory was 3-0. Cami's team also lead most games by at least 2 points. It was really fun but we definitely missed Grandmas cooking.
Garrett played football (#5) for the first time this fall and loved it. He only played defense and as you can imagine it was pretty interesting to see a kid a foot shorter and 30 lbs. lighter make defensive tackles. He has decided he likes it better than baseball so far.
Allie has been busy teaching and playing tennis. She has started teaching private lessons for kids and is making some good money for the hours she puts in. She really likes it and her coach said she is a very good teacher and very patient with the kids.
As many of you know, we are headed off to Hawaii on Monday (don't feel sorry for us) and we are all very excited! But we will see some of you at the game if Grandpa gets tickets and more of you at Christmas. By the way, where is everyone going to stay?!?! It will be big fun I'm sure! See you soon! And I almost forgot-OUR POOL AND YARD LOOKS AWESOME-can't wait to use it!

Love, Jen

cami looks so cute as a hogwarts pupil and i can't believe garrett is even allowed to play football although i'm sure he's pretty dang good at it. that is also amazing about how tori's team has been kicking butt on everyone. also not at all surprising allie is a great tennis teacher. we are going to the vegas bowl and steve and i are staying at the mgm grand. i haven't booked everyone's rooms this year but that doesn't mean someone (grandpa) won't ask me to.

the mgm grand was $119 a night so i'm guessing that is not where everyone else will want to stay since there are much better deals than that.

Matt and the kids and I are leaving on Friday afternoon, so if people want to stay at our house they are welcome too. Captain would love the company. Amber

I'm very impressed with the pumpkin carvings; I don't think I've ever carved one that looked as good as those. Did Cami dress as Hermione? And was Tori a fairy? Jen, I can't wait to use your pool next summer when I'm living in St. George; hope you're okay with Paige and I coming over to swim!

It's good to know you guys are still alive and well! I was just thinking about you the other day. So are you trying to make us all jealous with your exciting life or what?!!? Your pool is awesome, but I could really use a trip to Hawaii! Amber where are you going?

Questions answered: Yes, Bridget family can come over when ever they like to swim! Cami was Hermione, Tori was a fairy, and the secret to the pumkins is a template!

Go get 'em Garrett. Just remember...the toughest...best tackler on Kurt's team at Wasatch was Austin Hills. Maybe 5'3" or so. He could bring down the best and biggest of them and did. Hit 'em low Garrett. He could teach many college players about tackling... So forget the size and have fun Garrett. We may have to come and catch a game.
