Provo Falls Outing

Labor Day was such a perfect, beautiful day, that we decided to take a little drive up to Provo Falls for a picnic. Most of you have been there haven't you? It's a really cool waterfall area with tons of rocks that are easy to scale up and down, and it's just a really nice place to go mess around. We wanted to see if we could get a good family picture (something for our Christmas cards perhaps...) so we picked up some KFC, some picnic blankets, and some Cokes (of COURSE) and drove up into the Uintas. We had a really nice time- Jack couldn't get enough of the water- despite it being mind-numbingly cold, and spent most of his time crawling around in it. Porter (who just had his tonsils out on Friday) was being a little whiney toad until John took him to climb around on the rocks which cured his ill spirits. Seth was content to sit and eat mashed potatoes with me and enjoy the scenery. It was a good time for all the adults

I am jealous!! Every time I'm in Utah going up to Provo Falls is on my list, but never seems to happen. Maybe next year? The pictures are cute, Marci you are WAY ahead of the game if you already have your Christmas picture:) How was Porters surgery?

Talk about ask and ye shall receive. Thanks for posting these. That looks like so much fun. Where are the puppy pictures though? And what is his/her? name?

His name is Cassius- we call him Cache- He's a Shih tzu, and is sooo cute! I will take a picture today and post it! Porter is doing really well post-surgery, although admittedly a little bit of a pain- or is it IN pain? who am I kidding- he's both! His voice sounds sooo much clearer though, and he should be a lot happier by this time next week.

Go to Kamas, turn right, and go about 20 miles towards Mirror Lake to get to Provo River Falls. Apparently used to be called Upper Provo Falls.

BTW, apparently the taste of algae is not enough to deter Jack from trying to eat and suck on rocks.
